Getting More

of the Very Best Customers

for your Business

You have customers. You, now know that not all customers are the same. Same drain your energy, your time and your resources. Then they want a discount.

Your best customers make you smile, they are easy to make happy and they thank you as they pay your full price.

It’s not true that you have to have take the good with the bad customers. There are things you can do in your business to attract the very best customers.

Learn what you can do to attract

only the best customers

for your business

You care deeply about your customers and you work very hard to give them a great experience. So it hurts you when they don’t appreciate it. And it puzzles you. If they don’t want what you do, the way you do it, why are they working with you?

You have seen businesses like this. You walk in, there is a sense of ease, even joy. The place is comfortable, stylish and you know what to do. The experience is fun, delightful and you get more than you wanted. It costs a little more, but it is worth it to feel so served and delighted.

You have been in similar types of businesses where the experience is exactly the opposite. You feel uncomfortable, the style, the music, and even the smell doesn’t suit you. You aren’t sure what to do next or even why you are there. It doesn’t matter how low the price is, it’s not worth it.

Sometimes the second business just has it wrong and sometimes, it’s because you are not their customer.

I have been deep inside both of those businesses and I have seen first hand the huge differences in how those businesses are designed and operated.

The thing is, your business needs to be aligned so your perfect customer feels like they are having that first experience. It’s a big part of making your business easier and more profitable for you.

FrancesMy name is Frances Schagen and over the past 20 years I have worked with 1000s of business owners just like you. I have seen what works and what doesn’t. I realized that the way we are told to run our businesses is all wrong. It is guaranteed to make you always feel inadequate, and it keeps you struggling and fighting to keep up.

Once I realized that, I peeled back the layers and saw that the very core of how we operate small business is wrong. I looked to see how the most successful business are run; by owners who are operating intuitively, rather than how they are told. I applied my scientific and engineering background to research, pull it apart, codify it and design a better way, from the ground up. I call it the Small Business Operating System (SB/OS).

But that wasn’t enough. I had to know how you could apply it to your business. Systematically. Intuitively. Effortlessly.

I dug even deeper. I dissected business, I poked around the hardest parts of business and I figured out the best ways to apply this to every business – even yours.

I realized that we (the business support industry) dump everything into your lap and say, “There you have everything you need. Now go make your business.” That’s like piling a bunch of groceries on your counter and saying you have everything you need to make a gourmet meal.

Once I pulled all the pieces of business apart I could see that there is a very specific way to put them back together that made more sense, that built on each stage, that guided you all the way to a complete, effortless, very profitable business.

I call it the 6 Stages to Starting and Growing Your Business.

6 Stages

Here they are:

  1. Owner’s Journey – you need to know where you are going and how you will know when you get there
  2. Discovery Dance – work with your customers to come up with the perfect offer
  3. Making it Official – do the paperwork after you have proof of concept
  4. Customer’s Journey – design your customer’s interactions all the way through to their delight
  5. Team’s Journey – when you know what you are doing, bring on others to help you scale (if you want)
  6. Essential 11 Algorithms – put these 11 sets of instructions in place and your business will run itself

Most business owners start at #3 and end before they get to #6.

I will teach you how to make your business operate more smoothly, easily, profitably and robustly. I can make that promise, because it is how successful business owners are already operating.

It is not a few tweaks, it’s not putting more on top of what you are already doing – in fact, the 6 Stages will take away much of the work you are doing in your business and automate and reframe the rest. You will work from your strengths in an authentic way to serve & delight the people around you.

I know you have tried many things, many programs, read all you can and have figured out a lot of how to make your business work for you. You don’t need another course, book or lecture.

Because you learn best when you shake things up

Because you retain more when learning comes with all your senses

Because you can only get a new perspective when you step away

Because life and business should be fun

AGENDA

Before we get together you have some work to do to gather specific information, to set up some tools we will use during our day and to let people know you will be contacting them.

On the train we will do the Discovery Dance of getting to know each other, our businesses and why we are doing this work. We will dissect what makes a great customer for you and discover and define who your best customers are.

When we land in Niagara Falls, we will go for a walk then set up with wifi to design and fill in your survey. You will send it to your customers (whom you have already alerted to expect it)

We will go to lunch and talk about our customer experiences in the past and so far that day.

After lunch we will relax and talk about story telling. What makes a great story? What is the Heroine’s Journey? We will gather your customer’s stories from the survey and shape them into a tale to tell. WE will explore how you can tell these stories

We will do more exploring and make our way back to the train station.

On the train ride back we will dive deep into your Customer’s Journey and how you can take what you learned that day to make it even better

For the next year we will stay in touch and help you follow through on what you know you need to do. I will help you take the next steps to make your business easier and more profitable.

In order, the most impactful things you can do to get more customers:

  1. Make your existing customers wildly happy – don’t bother trying to get more until you can do that
  2. Gather and tell the stories of your best customers
  3. Make the Customer Journey explicit and easy

Zig Ziglar said “You can get everything in life you want, if you will help enough other people get what they want.”

Frances says “You build your business for you. You craft your offer for your customers.”

You will design your business to do exactly that.

Here’s what people say about working with Frances

Emily says “Before I started working with Frances, I was beginning to hate my business. I felt like I was working as hard as I could and not getting anywhere. I felt inadequate, like I couldn’t make my customers happy. She showed me it wasn’t me. I was attracting the wrong customers. Now I love my business again and I’m making more money than ever.”

Bill says “Thank you, Frances. I get too far into the weeds. You help me see from my customer’s perspective. That’s made all the difference.”

Lisa says “Frances brings decades of experience working with many, many business owners. She knows just the right thing to say and she has a story for every situation. I’ve seen her instantly change a seasoned business owner’s perspective and show them a new way to make their business work better for them.”
