Everything starts with your vision

A clear vision helps you shape your choices, make your decisions and move you in the right direction. These exercises are designed to help reveal your underlying visions. Your completed piece will surprise you with insight and ideas you didn’t know you had.

You may not realize you want a little Bohemia in your life, or that you miss seeing plays or it’s time to add swimming into your mix. The outcome is as much about revealing as it is about clarifying.

We overestimate what we can do in a day and underestimate what we can do in a year. You can make huge strides in 2017 if you are clear on where you want to go.

You are invited to make a vision Board or you can choose to create your own Vision Agenda. I stumbled upon a way to combine daily planning with annual visioning and I will show you how you can make your own. It is a way to keep your visions with you everyday  for 2017. Your pictures and words are distributed through your book keeping you focused on what is most important for you. Bring a blank agenda book if you want to try this.

Make 2017 your best year ever!

Join us Sunday February 12, noon to 5 for a day of fun, learning about yourself and preparing for 2017. You’ll have time to get a sleepy start at noon and we’ll wrap up by 5. This is casual and fun.

No excuses! If, like me, you are the food prep maestro, here are 30 crock pot Sunday dinner recipes.

We are meeting in the Community Centre at the Bain Cooperative at 100 Bain Avenue, Toronto.

How we’ll do it:

12-1:30 Reflect and vision

Bring your 2016 agenda, planner, notebooks and diary. We’re going to look back and look ahead. I will take you through some exercises designed to glean what is important and what we learned. We’ll reflect on what worked and what didn’t. We will do visioning exercises to see where we would like to be in a year from now.

1:30-3 Gather material and sort

An important part of your vision work is gathering material. What you choose will reveal hidden desires. We will have plenty of supplies on hand, but feel free to bring anything special you think you will need.

3-5 Create your Vision Board/Agenda and reflect

Once you have completed your Vision Board/Agenda you have the option of presenting it to the group. You will be surprised by what other people observe and the insights you will gain from their observations. One year I didn’t have a single person on my board. It jumped out to everyone but me. Very telling!

If you want to make a Vision Agenda, bring a blank book. Make it a convenient size and one that you like. You are going to use it for all of 2017. I will show you the several unique features that make it very easy and powerful to use.

You Bring:

  • your 2016 vision board, agenda, planner, notebooks and diary and any other material that will help you look back over 2016
  • a blank book if you want
  • any other special materials that will help make your Vision Board/Agenda useful and beautiful for you. You don’t have to, I’ll have plenty there.

I’ll have

  • scissors, glue, stickers and embellishments
  • magazines to cut up
  • Poster boards
