A free day today

It’s a storm day around here today.

The kids are off school. My day’s appointments are canceled. I have a free day. I’m using it to do some of the fun tasks I like to do once in a while.

When you lose a day from your schedule this way, you find a way to work around it. If you have to you can always figure out ways to be more efficient, to drop tasks, or to double up on work done.

What if we made a point of popping ‘unstorm’ days into our schedules? Wouldn’t that make life more fun?

Next week is March Break here in Canada and I’ve decided to take the week off. Before today, my plan was to come to the office for at least one day – it is the best office in Kentville – for planning, writing and other fun things. After today I will reschedule today’s missed appointments into part of one of those drop in times.

Not a bad trade off for a free day today.

  • Priorities Right off the bat, I’m making a statement in saying priorities rather than priority. Can you have more than one priority? It [...]
