It’s what’s missing when Small Business Owners keep plugging away on their own. Many people go to a coffee shop to work, just to be around others. Other people isn’t what’s missing. It’s the camaraderie, the laughs, the relaxed sharing that happens when people who truly like each other get together.

How can you get it when you are a solopreneur with nary a water cooler surrounded by coworkers in sight? Join. Join bookclubs, join online clubs, join organizations, get out and network, volunteer, take classes, go to workshops and conferences. In other words, step away from the keyboard or drawing board and spend time having fun with other people.

This isn’t just underrated, it’s essential.
Remember: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
