Blog Action Day

The theme this year is Global Warming. While I’m only a couple of credits shy of a BSc in Environmental Science (life and babies intervened), I’m not going to weigh in here. I’m going to point you to 2 talks that were given at TEDGlobal.

James Balog has sobering time-lapse photography spectacularly depicting vanishing glaciers. There can be no doubt global warming is real.

Michael Pritchard has the technology to turn dirty water into clean, sterile drinking water. Global warming isn’t just about weather; it is also about access to water. We need to stop global warming, and in the mean time make safe drinking water available. Here’s hope!
